Caleb and I loved to shoot together. Sometimes Marnie would shoot with us and sometimes we would meet our friend Jim Settles out at the pit and shoot for half a day or more.
Safety always came first and I hope that lesson has stuck with Caleb now that he is grown up.

I had ordered that Garand over a year before and while Caleb was visiting it showed up completely unexpectedly! The firing pin broke while dry firing it but a new one was had a day later and Caleb and I were able to go out shooting.

We didn't get to hunt together much with Caleb living with his mom in Nebraska but we sure had fun when we did!
Caleb took up another hobby that we both shared, Rock & Roll guitar!

Caleb was in a couple bands as a teenager, a dream his dad, me, never fulfilled. Great for him! Caleb fulfilled his own dream to join the United States Army in 2007.
