Internet Access

Last updated 2008 April 6

Like everything else to do with Fulltiming, methods for making the Internet connection varies with where you are and what you want.

If you can get free DSL or Wi-Fi you might have all you need but I don't trust Wi-Fi security for banking. You also may still need an ISP (Internet Service Provider)

If you boondock you will need to provide your own hardware to make the connection and some access methods still require a provider

There are various ways to connect a cell phone to a computer and access the internet but most of these are pretty slow. I used an LG phone, Verizon and Mobile Office for a while before I got a different phone and it was no longer supported. If you are interested in trying this with your cell phone I suggest you contact the service provider to see what is available for your phone.
