We had a ball. I went the first time by myself (Steve) and forgot the camera. I told Marnie and we went the very next weekend to check it out with the camera...
I usually try to limit the picts to nine but I couldn't help it, here are the best of the pictures we took.

Fossil Creek is a beautiful oasis in what is mostly desert. The creek was diverted to feed the local power plant but the decision was made to salvage the creek for native wildlife. The fish in the big pool (below) would swim within a few inches of our feet.

Upon entering the Verde River Valley this sign greets the visitor. There is a camping area on the Verde and the old hotel and hot springs are a mile hike up river. There is not much left of the hotel as it burned down in the 60s. The spring temperature is just a little warmer than body temperature so it didn't do much for us. The artwork was great.

There were two other couples there (boy, boy, girl, boy - you do the math!) and we saw at least a dozen hikers that never made it to the springs.

Sorry there are no picts of some of the sights as they were too close and Steve is kind of anal about disturbing wildlife. Imagine if the Wolf was carrying food back to her cubs and dropped it because of us. Some of them were just too close for pictures.
